How We Got Here

Since forming as a cooperation in 2016, Pinnacle Trail Systems, has been in the forefront of the Ruidoso area ecotourism industry. From teaching bike skills to beginners and kids summer camps to building skills parks for riders to hone their skills, Pinnacle Trail Systems is all about riding dirt in Ruidoso.

Owner and lead instructor Wallace Downs, has instructed and certified hundreds of police officers to be confident bike patrol officers as an instructor with the International Police Mountain Bike Association. Most had little to no mountain bike experience!

Now a certified instructor with the Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association (PMBIA) and USA Cycling, Wallace and his team will get you rolling down the trail with confidence!

Don't have a bike? No problem we have a quality rental fleet for our clients.

We are licensed and insured and have business permits with the Village of Ruidoso and U.S. Forest Service in Lincoln County. Don't want instruction, just want to ride and need a guide? No problem! We provide excellent guiding services on the local trails, customized just for you!

Pinnacle Trail Systems Rates

Rates are $50.00 an hour, per person with a two hour minimum. Each tour and instruction session is customized to fit your exact needs. After filling out a cycling history questionnaire your instructor/guide will contact you. Most rides begin and end at a local trail head. Rental bikes available to clients that don't have their own bikes-additional rates apply for bike rental.
